The Hollywood Spectra® can help remove tattoo ink regret, reduce unwanted pigmentation, melasma, and age spots, and brighten your overall complexion from a technique called laser toning. Laser toning is often used to help reduce unwanted pigment (or melanin) in your skin while simultaneously stimulating new dermal collagen growth through gentle heating. This comfortable combination treatment is very popular with patients as consumer demand for a more youthful appearance continues to expand.
How many treatments will I need?
Treating unwanted pigment and stimulating collagen within your skin is a gradual process that requires multiple sessions to produce effective results.
The number of sessions required depend on the type and severity of your aesthetic concern.
The Hollywood Laser Peel may only require 1-3 treatments and melanoma management may require 6 or more. Your physician will recommend a treatment course expectation that is right for you.
Is there any downtime?
With virtually little to no downtime, you may immediately return to your daily activities. Some treatments may create minor erythema that could last 1-3 hours.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most patients report very little discomfort. They describe the treatment sensation as a warm prickly feeling with a rapid snapping sound while the laser delivers energy to the skin. Typically, no anesthesia or topical is needed.
What can I do to maximize my results?
Wearing UV protection a hat can help protect your revitalized skin and prevent sun damage. Taking these steps can enhance and preserve your results. This is especially important after treating melanoma and other unwanted pigment in your skin.
